This work is one of a few that are part of a series of tornado dreams that I had and this one clearly captivated my imagination. The dream itself was not clear but I remember the colours and the sky plus the overall sense of what was happening. I have always remembered the tornado on the sea which for me represented my mothers anger at what was going to happen to her in terms of her illness. It could be read as two paintings in one or a before and after scene.
